ataraxia

According to the skeptical philosophy, the only way to achieve true happiness is to accept that there is no real knowledge of existence. This means that all of our efforts and beliefs are meaningless, and it saves us from worrying about things like death and life after death. It also teaches us to focus on what we can see and experience, rather than our own preconceived ideas. The highest happiness for skeptics is known as ataraxia, which is a state of being free from worry and anxiety.
